Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of ResumeAI (the "Service"), an AI tool that tailors resumes, cover letters, and application answers to specific job descriptions. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

ResumeAI parses resumes and professional profiles you provide, and uses AI to generate tailored resumes, cover letters, application-question answers, and ATS keyword scores based on job descriptions you paste. Output is produced with the help of third-party large-language-model (LLM) providers (see our Privacy Policy).

2. Accounts

You need an account to generate documents. You may register with an email and password or via Google sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate registration information.

3. Your content and its accuracy

You retain ownership of the resume text, profile information, job descriptions, and other content you upload or paste ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to process Your Content solely to operate the Service — including transmitting it to our LLM provider to generate output for you.

You are responsible for the truthfulness of everything you submit in a job application. The AI reorganises and rephrases the experience you provide; it does not verify facts and may occasionally produce inaccurate or awkward text. Always review and edit generated documents before sending them. You must not use the Service to fabricate qualifications, employers, dates, or credentials.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes others' rights;
• Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent quotas, rate limits, or security controls;
• Use the Service to generate unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or discriminatory material;
• Resell or provide the Service to third parties without our written permission.

5. Plans, quotas, and billing

The Free plan includes up to 5 resume generations per UTC day. The Pro plan ($9 / month) raises this limit to 1000 generations per day. Daily counts reset at midnight UTC.

If offered, Pro is a recurring subscription billed through our payment processor, Stripe. By upgrading you authorise recurring charges until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period, and we do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods except where required by law. We do not store your full card details — Stripe does.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and templates, belongs to us. The documents you generate from Your Content are yours to use. These Terms grant you no rights in our trademarks or branding.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. ResumeAI does not guarantee interviews, job offers, ATS pass-through, or any particular outcome. AI-generated content may contain errors and is not professional career, legal, or immigration advice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On account deletion, your stored data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above; continued use after changes means you accept them.
